There is no reason not to keep DC section.
Some dumpers here, have DC games (including me, tossEAC, Rocknroms, NiK0tiN, ...),
but need some experience/praxis in dumping dreamcast games.
PX-760A (+30), PX-W4824TA (+98), GSA-H42L (+667), GDR-8164B (+102), SH-D162D (+6), SOHD-167T (+12)

Wtf? It were you, who turned away everyone interested in dumping DC, you were sending everyone to TOSEC and I remember this very clearly. As for now, defor was interested in dumping some DC, also Yuki was offering her help, if someone Japanese-speaking would be able to translate the guide (asapy?).

I say it again and I'll say it again. Most (or all) of track02.raw of tosec DC are bad.
Moreover you may have no loss of data for audio pregap, but you have it for data pregap.

I've tried again 2 days ago to dump a GD, I used also forceaspi to reinstal aspi, but I have no luck. It takes too long and I got only 0x00. As soon as I can I'll format my pc to see if it will work.

Come on guys.. we all know that this method is far from practical.. it's only for experienced dumpers and I only recommend it for people with a Plextor drive (something recent like the PX760A).. I'm not surprised why nobody except pnkiller and me have been succesful at this so far (also because it's too difficult to write an easy guide for it).

IMHO this has turned into a silly 'race', except the winner is already known (23 dumps vs 610 verified and many more unverified on their forums)..

@F1ReB4LL, you told me before that Yuki was already dumping for tosec/dumpcast.. if that's the case, then she must be crazy to switch to a method which takes so much more effort. I suppose the only reason she would consider this at all is because you are pressing her to do this Image

I don't mind if people prefer to use our method (I still think the dumps are superior), but I posted this thread because there's just no progress anymore with this system. Blaming me for this is really funny. Without my help we wouldn't even have a dumping method or a guide (maybe they're not user friendly, but I don't mind that Image).

We've decided that dumping for both projects can't be regarded as a crime Image

I hope TOSEC thinks the same about that Image I happened to have bought one of their unverified ones last week and I intend to post it on both places, so I hope they'll accept it hehe (I wanna post it here because I think the audio checksums will match the PSX version, so it would be nice to show once more that our dumping method makes sense).

I'm just waiting for my PX-760 to dump my DC games. In fact, I bought Resident Evil - Code Veronica (J) today waiting for it.

Jackal wrote:Just wondering, is there any point in keeping this system on the site? Basically everybody is dumping for tosec/dumpcast anyway and their project has already 610 discs verified and counting..

I know that our dumping method is different, but still there isn't anything really wrong about their dumps this time. There's no missing data and it's in RAW, so isn't it better to just stick with the systems that we're good at?

Another reason is that so far there have only been 2 dumpers (including me), and there's no reason to assume that there will be more

Any opinions?
Come on, I think that it's a shame that this would be erased from the DB. The DC was a beautiful system, and I think that even if tosec/dumpcast have more dump that us, our method is far superior, more accurate and far better at the end. I haven't dumped 2 or 3 disc more disc that I have here Image
ps: My girlfriend almost dump me for passing almost three weekends dumping those discs and not with her, you know the women Image Image Image
