Why doesnt the Music work on Dumps with seperate Trackfiles?????

Post by Timbo »

Hi
Iv'e downloaded some of your files from the 'complete Pal Psx collection' from UG and tried to burn them with the .cue Files found here, but all these cues don't fit to the belonging images , and always renaming the Trackfiles to fit is annoying.
Did i do something wrong or why is it this way?

Hi,
I guess that's because Redump.org switched to the No-intro naming convention in july and that means that all the cue sheets names changed and you downloaded the images with the old filenames, that's why the cue sheets don't match with your images.

Okay, I UNderstand. But this leads to another problem. When i rename all the bins, the image and the music-files, fitting to the Cue name, and then burn the image with nero, the Games (with extra trackfiles for the Music) don't have any music when played. And WipeOut without Music just sucks  Image

Are you playing it on a real console or an emulator?  If it's on a real console, try putting the disc in the PC and try to play it in a media player.  If you don't get the audio tracks, try burning the .cue again with Imgburn.  If you are trying to play them on an emulator, you probably don't have the correct settings.  I know that for ePSXe, you need to select the ePSXe SPU Core plugin in order to hear the CDDA tracks.  Don't know if there is another plugin that plays them but I do know that Eternal SPU doesn't.

Play it on real Hardware and just tried to burn it again with Imgburn. Same thing, no Music on real Playstation and on Emulator. So i guess renaming the bins to the new Cues just Don't work. I've dloaded the games from Underground gamer from the big redump pal psx collection and forgot to dload the 'cues and sbis.zip' file. Can someone pls give me this zip or the real cues which were inside?`? I can't get them from UG anymore

edit: Okay, if managed to get the original cues, but no difference. THe music tracks won't play on my Playstation and my emulator, the emulator has the correct settings, so it must be something with the images.
