I want to search a Plextor drive for dumping and use it with PerfectRip. Which Plextor drive is better?
1) SA, A or UF?
2) PX-760 or the newest like PX-820, PX-850, ecc...?
Thanks!:)
EDIT: For example, I've found a PX-820SA (SATA). It's better than PX-760A (IDE) or not?

Re: New Plextor?
SA ---> Sata
A ---> IDE / Pata
UF ---> external IDE / Pata
Plextors models after PX-760A are all fake plextors. About data transfer the best for CD is always IDE in my opinion (or SCSI if you found an old plextor CD drive/burner and if you have all the hardware).
About PX-820SA, it's an Optiarc AD-7200 rebadged as reported on Cdfreaks and it seems to be one of the worst drive ever produced in optical drive industry.

Re: New Plextor?
Great! I think IDE is the best too. In this case i have to search for a Plextor like PX-7xxA where xx don't overcome 60. And PX-760A should be the best.
Ok! Thanks!:D
Ok! Thanks!:D
Re: New Plextor?
Be careful, there are some Plextor drives under the 760 that are rebranded models, too. For example, the PX-740A is actually a BenQ DW1640.
