first attemp at dumping a game... need help

Post by douglie007 »

    Game title: Advanced Dungeons & Dragons; Eye of the Beholder
    Disc title: Advanced Dungeons & Dragons; Eye of the Beholder
    Game languages: English (no option to change)
    Version: 1994.JUN
    Edition: Original
    Media: CD
    Barcode:010086046557
    .cue, .dat, and .txt files: Here is where I saved the files - https://mega.nz/#F!BB4AUZ4D!GAvl9qBGIpl1bod7xiIWvg
    Serial number: T-75014
    Ring code info: CDAC 070100

In the folder the Cue that does not have a Dump after it was done with Imgburn

I did 4 rips 2 from Disc Image Creator 1 from CloneCD and 1 from Imgburn.  None will work in the an emulator except the one from Imgburn, but it doesnt make any logs I could find.  Th issue is that I am using a LG M-Disc DVD burner drive, and not a Plexor so that might be the issue.  when I run the Hex reader this is what I see

Clone CD and the Imgburn is the same for a while then changes the 2 DIC rips (1 is with the /nl and 2 is without) are Identical.

start.

Where things change on the CCD and IB

CloneCD had a lot of missing code but then picks up the same again later down.

If its because I dont have the correct drive and it will be fine when I find one.  Then i will do that.  but if  I can help out in anyway let me know

I'm new at redump too and of course not expert, but I got a similar issue and sarami told me is the Plextor drive indeed because of how CloneCD and other dumping tools works as opposed to DIC

Me and xTMODx have been keeping a close eye on eBay for Plextors. Do you have laptops or desktop computers?

Hey guys, I just talked with this seller, he can bring shipping costs down to about $20 for shipping in USA:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=& … p;_sacat=0

He also ships internationally and guarantees his drives are working.

LET ME KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO BID AND IF SO ON WHICH ONE! I will likely buy up the rest to have in case anyone needs in the future. But it's best if you buy it to save an extra shipping step.

@Douglie,

If you’re from USA, you should buy one of those 755uf external.

@escarlata,

The best option for you is buy from a member here that already tested the drive and sell for a fair price. xTMODx sold me one this way.

@dizzy,

I pm’ed you about those 755uf drives. You definitely should buy them all.
