Hi sarami, I dumped the Chinese release of The Legend of Kyrandia: Book Three: Malcolm's Revenge and there is only 1 error count. I used DICUI first and then DIC, but still, only 1 error count and all the hashes match the database.

https://redump.info/disc/69458/

DICUI Logs: https://mega.nz/file/mnZ3kKSA#a39Onk5un … VjmT9_g7gM

DIC Logs: https://mega.nz/file/y6ZhiagD#5zf5jLIHJ … fzZK18fOtc

Another one is the Taiwanese release of WarCraft II: Tides of Darkness, which shows tons of error count. Again, I used both software and they have the same amount of errors. Is this normal?

Thanks for your helping!

The last sector is the same as 291461. It's mastering error, so 2 error count is correct.

Code: Select all

LBA[291609, 0x47319], MSF[64:50:09], mode 1
LBA[291610, 0x4731a], MSF[64:50:10], mode 1 Invalid mode: [e1]
LBA[291461, 0x47285], MSF[64:48:11], mode 1

It's weird... I don't know now why it has tons of errors.

So my dump actually does have 2 error count, right?

Could it also be some kinds of mastering error?

Yes.

I'm not sure about that.

Can you disable the check on Plextor's too if SafeDisc is detected? A lot of SafeDisc games have this error pattern and it is unlikely that any game with SafeDisc will trigger the firmware bug.

Please upload all logs if possible. If not possible, tell me these discs info (title, region, barcode, etc)

I don't know the exact games, but this has been heavily reported in the VGPC server by multiple users. Dump remains the same when dumped with an ASUS BW-16D1HT.

In fact, all SafeDisc protected CDs I've encountered in the past few month triggered the same error warnings.

Here are the logs of a disc I just dumped, which is the 3rd CD of the Japanese release of Painkiller.

Barcode: 4 537243 038416
