Also tested ASUS-BW-16D1HT with 3.02 firmware, looking forward to bigger positive offset support. Too bad the drive doesn't have better C2 correction, maybe a buffer flush is needed for re-reads.

Hello

I just noticed that recent versions of DICUI now output the following when dumping PS3 discs with my (non-PS3/OEM) LG BH16NS40 blu-ray drive:

Code: Select all

Disc Key: (REQUIRED)
Disc ID: (REQUIRED)
As I understand from the wiki, there's no way to get these infos (or create an IRD with redump2ird (D1/D2)) with this dumping method, or am I missing something?

So can I leave them like this in the 'submissionInfo' log, even if they are now marked 'required'?
Thanks.

I dumped two other DC unlicensed discs fine, but now this one Image

Weird bug in the "swap" mode.

Code: Select all

LBA[077399, 0x12e57], MSF[17:13:74], mode 2  Invalid mode: [e2]
SubHeader[1](IsInterleaved[00]), [2](ChannelNum[00]), [3](SubMode[00]), Form 1, [4](CodingInfo[00])
LBA[077400, 0x12e58], MSF[17:14:00], mode 2  Invalid mode: [c2]
SubHeader[1](IsInterleaved[00]), [2](ChannelNum[00]), [3](SubMode[00]), Form 1, [4](CodingInfo[00])
LBA[077401, 0x12e59], MSF[ff:13:8f], bad msf
[ERROR] Number of sector(s) where bad MSF: 1
    Sector: 77401,
[ERROR] Number of sector(s) where mode is invalid: 2
    Sector: 77399, 77400,
Total errors: 3
Total warnings: 0
But, in fact, "mode 2  Invalid mode: [e2]" is the sector 77400; "mode 2  Invalid mode: [c2]" is the sector 77401 and the "MSF[ff:13:8f], bad msf" is probably about the first sector of the lead-out.

Last sector is 77400.

Code: Select all

========== TOC ==========
      Data Track  1, LBA        0 -    77400, Length    77401
                                              Total     77401
But it seems the subQ of 77401 is not Lead-out.

Code: Select all

LBA[077399, 0x12e57]: P[00], Q[41010117117400171374050b]{ Data,      Copy NG,                  Track[01], Idx[01], RMSF[17:11:74], AMSF[17:13:74]}, RtoW[0, 0, 0, 0]
LBA[077400, 0x12e58]: P[00], Q[41010117120000171400f8ef]{ Data,      Copy NG,                  Track[01], Idx[01], RMSF[17:12:00], AMSF[17:14:00]}, RtoW[0, 0, 0, 0]
LBA[077401, 0x12e59]: P[00], Q[41010117120100171401429f]{ Data,      Copy NG,                  Track[01], Idx[01], RMSF[17:12:01], AMSF[17:14:01]}, RtoW[0, 0, 0, 0]
DIC overreads 1 sector due to this problem.

This disc has a weird TOC like CDI.

Code: Select all

========== TOC ==========
    Pregap Track   , LBA        0 -    13835, Length    13836
      Data Track  2, LBA    13836 -    15099, Length     1264
                                              Total     15100

Code: Select all

========== FULL TOC ==========
    FirstCompleteSession: 1
     LastCompleteSession: 1
    Session 1, Ctl 4, Adr 1, Point 0xa0, FirstTrack  2, Format: CD-ROM-XA
    Session 1, Ctl 4, Adr 1, Point 0xa1,  LastTrack  2
    Session 1, Ctl 4, Adr 1, Point 0xa2,      Lead-out, AMSF 03:23:25 (LBA[015100, 0x03afc])
    Session 1, Ctl 4, Adr 1, Point 0x02,      Track  2, AMSF 03:06:36 (LBA[013836, 0x0360c])
I need to get it to test.

Yes, you need to get PS3 drive to get the disc key/id. If you get the drive and 3k3y ripper, you can get these info easily, using my authentication tool. /viewtopic.php?t=18084 … tion-tool/

But in the swap mode doesn't it build the TOC according to the subs only (since it can't read the actual TOC from lead-in)?

swap mode continues to read until the 1st 0xaa appears. It seems 1st 0xaa is 77402 sector.
