Hi all, in order to try and keep the official site issue tracker (https://github.com/superg/vgindex/issues) more related to the actual site code and any issues/feature requests there, I've created this thread to allow space for discussion of wider issues or suggestions for the site.
Please note that this is no guarantee that any of these suggestions will necessarily be implemented, but it hopefully provides a space for some deeper/longer form discussions about these things.

Re: Community site issues/suggestions tracker
Good idea. I think a sub-forum might be good too so its easier to keep track of different discussions.

Re: Community site issues/suggestions tracker
But a sub-forum or separate github issue tracker would probably be better.

I think you should lock the disc submission/fixes subs since they are no longer used.
Should hide the patches thread too, that's not something that should have ever been allowed imo since you're trying to keep off the radar.

They should already be locked, available as read-only archives if anyone needs to see it (login required).

As for patches subforum, that never contained any copyright data and was mostly just some old guides, but I've hidden it now even when logged in.

Re: Community site issues/suggestions tracker
Let's make it clear, the Github issue page is meant to be used ONLY to open issues or feature requests related to the website code.
Anything else that is not specifically tied to a code update, or it's opened in other pages / forums / discord discussions, etc. are not followed or being tracked by the staff members.
Since this forum topic is already redundant, i'm gonna repeat again that https://github.com/superg/vgindex/issues is the only place where any further request needs to be placed.
Public announcements will be made when new features are going to be added to the website.
