I overlooked the part about Dinosaur Hunter. I can see multiple already exist in the db and it is pretty interactive edutainment. These items sorta blur the lines a bit, but unless more review is done later, I think we can assume Dinosaur Hunter is alright for now.
I was more focused directly on the encyclopedia / history focused discs, with the above comments.
Disc Eligibility Questions
Re: Disc Eligibility Questions
I hope it's alright if I ask about a couple of very different things in one post.
Item #1: The Immortals - Mortal Kombat (Discogs, VGMdb)
I thought this (not particularly rare) Mortal Kombat CD would already be on Redump, but was surprised to find out it's not. Is this intentional, or was it simply never submitted? I couldn't find any prior discussion about it here on the forums or on the VGPC Discord.
Item #2: Game Programming Gems 3 (CD-ROM)
This game programming textbook comes with a CD-ROM, with the following description from the back of the book:

This game programming textbook comes with a CD-ROM, with the following description from the back of the book:
The CD-ROM is packed with portable source code in C & C++. Most of the techniques will work on all platforms, however, there are some techniques that will only work on Windows/DirectX. Also included are demos of many of the techniques described in the book, the DirectX 8.1 SDK, the OpenGL Utility Toolkit (GLUT), the glSetup Monolithic version, and high resolution versions of the color plates.
Tools in my arsenal: Plextor PX-W4012TA, Plextor PX-W5224TA, LG WH16NS40 (flashed to ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.02), Plextor PX-716A, Toshiba TS-H352C
Re: Disc Eligibility Questions
Both discs are eligible.
1) There are many audio discs that are eligible but simply have not been dumped/submitted. This is one such example. It is directly game-related and therefore eligible.
2) This is also directly game-related - it is similar to this one:
https://redump.info/disc/129197/
--- If it was about general development / programming, it probably wouldn't be eligible. But because it is specifically related to Game Programming, this is eligible and allowed.
