Hello to everyone,

since I have few drives tested.

Successful dump I've made with TEAC CD-W524E on firmware 1.0C, higher versions of firmware doesn't work so I've made downgrade package from 1.0D and 1.0E versions (just changed letter in firmware files ): FW_DW_W524E.zip
1.0A, 1.0B firmwares works pretty well, but if you want to upgrade to 1.0C you could download it from TEAC ftp: FWUPW524E01.EXE

One more thing about this drive: unfortunately eject-hole method doesn't work with it and moreover this drive has screwed magnetic disc-holder, so you need to be a bit careful while swapping the trap-disc.

I'm able to make a successful dump with LG GCC-4521B once time, but unfortunately this drive was a bit used and laser broke over time, so can't give any proofs for it

Those drives I have not able to read GD-ROM:

• LG GH20LS15 (SATA drive)
• SAMSUNG SC-152

Please consider LTD-165h verified. I did numerous dumps with one without having to even adjust the laser. (h is the firmware version) The dumps I made got the same checksum as tosec too.

Lite-On LTD-165H is the classic suggested drive by the Yursoft's guide.

I know, but I don't have editing rights on the mentioned wiki, and it's listed as reported drive there.
