How is the state of PCE dumping?

I noticed PCE dumps have gained momentum on Redump.org. Was there some novelty in PCE world that has made possible to read the discs decently?

Proper cues can be taken with subdump; if there is a TOC vs sub mismatch - we add the entry with TOC-based gaps as a primary dump and the one with subs-based gaps as a secondary dump which is hidden (for documentation purposes). So, yes, they can be dumped, but still with a lot of manual work Image But you need to use either a Plextor or a swappable drive, since with a regular READ command certain areas can be unreadable for subdump and you won't get a proper .sub and a proper .cue.

So still a PITA  Image

My hardware tools are the same from a few years ago. Is there something new from the software point of view?

Yes, some were updated. If you have a Plextor, PM me, I'll explain the rest.
