Need datfile splitting tool

I would like the possibility of splitting the psx .dat by category (already included as field in the .dat) and also by region or languages or whatever.. It seems that a number of tools were made for this purpose:
Convert DAT by NvrBst - /viewtopic.php?p=1874#p1874
CheckDAT by Xperplay - /viewtopic.php?t=6955 … dat-files/
DatSplit by jamjam over at HDDX forum
However, none of the links to these programs are working
So, does anyone have working links plz for any of these programs? And can anyone tell me how to use the category field in the .dat (and how to filter out certain categories)?
edit: The link to an older version of DatSplit is working apparently, but I can't find an option in the tool to filter by category..
