Maybe it's a silly question but as we have in PC database some discs with aplications, should we also preserve discs with various drivers and utillities (bundled with hardware) ?

I think not, unless it's for special circumstances, like old video cards and sound cards which came bundled with games/demos on the driver discs, goes for joysticks/pads/wheels/flight sticks/other also. How old? I'm talking like Voodoo/Verite/Virge/S3/Matrox etc era. All modern stuff can be downloaded for free, some of the older hardware is not so easy to find. Surely not generic hardware like modems, printers and motherboards...

i think the xbox360 disc could be dumped, it was most probably bundled with some periphery or eventually game bundled with hardware, dunno really
p.s. i do have the v1.2 in my own)

Personally I think everything should be preserved if possible. Game Discs/Demo Discs/Audio Discs/DVD Discs/Application Discs/Driver Discs/etc; everything officially released as long as the relevant info for it is cataloged with the hashs. Obviously they'd need their own category or even section if you wish; EDIT: because they wouldn't be for everyone, and most would probably ignore

.

It's a shame because i thought that everything dumpable should be preserved.

I have exactly the same point of view.
But I think I will stick with games/demos/coverdiscs for now until someone decide otherwise.

Since redump is focused on games that's why I said what I did. Maybe we can have a sister site for os/apps/drivers etc.
