Account Request to Confirm Dumps, Contribute Hashes, & Other Metadata
Posted: Fri Feb 27, 2026 11:29 pm
Hello, World! Long-time lurker, first-time poster, here.
I'm requesting an account because I have recently become aware of a few titles/dumps I may have in my private collection of back-ups of '90s PC games that don't appear to have matching entries/hashes in the database just yet. I was thinking that perhaps I could post the metadata pertaining to these, if that would be of interest.
This site has been a great resource for me in the past, so I figure it's high-time I at least try to contribute something back. For a long time, I didn't feel as though I had anything worth-while to contribute, but as I said, I think I may have found a few areas where I do have a thing or two that I can contribute. I also wouldn't mind participating more broadly in the community in general, as learning in community is a lot more expedient (and fun!) than learning by lurking and generally flying solo.

P.S. ...No HTTPS?! Aww, man! C'mon, guys; it's 2026! Even a poor-man's self-signed certificate is better than nothin' at all.
(Source: am professional backend software/web dev, would be happy to help provide guidance in this respect, if help/guidance around such topics is something that's wanted. My apologies if I'm unwittingly beating a dead horse that may have been discussed many times before and for some reason [?!] was decided against.)
In your subjectively objective opinion, how many bytes SHOULD be in "1 MB"?
Vote options
1000000. SI units FTW! If you want binary, be precise: specify "MiB"!!
1048576. JEDEC units FTW! SI is overly-pedantic tradition usurpation!!
1024000. IDK man, I'm just here to enjoy the bonfire *Munches popcorn*
