1) Please don't hoard or inflate prices of these drivers.
2) Info about unconfirmed drives on list can be wrong.
3) There's always a chance that there will be different revision with different laser, so don't overpay.
4) Replacement lasers from aliexpress seem to be low quality, and I've noticed many people recommending to use used laser from donor board.
Opu means laser unit/module.

Re: Replacement lasers for Plextor drives
It may be a good idea to put this info on the wiki rather than a forum thread.

Re: Replacement lasers for Plextor drives
Posting my own guide for replacing the OPU in the PX-708A here as well so it doesn't get lost in Discord.

Re: Replacement lasers for Plextor drives
To me, the list should be put on the wiki if checked. Also, the formatting of the OP's post makes it hard to read.
PX-708A, SH-D163B
Re: Replacement lasers for Plextor drives
Does OP still working on this list ? I have two dead Plextor PX712SA that I'd like to repair.
Re: Replacement lasers for Plextor drives
1) I think list is mostly complete, and there are not many other models that can serve as donors. Maybe it's worth checking LG, pioneer or older asus drives for donors, but those are difficult to track.
2) There 2 types of SF-DB10 lasers, best to open your 712 to check for which you look for. Weirdly I've seen people reporting both in plextors. Maybe one is for 708 and second for 712(?) . (712 supports quality scan plextools when 708 does not)
3) You can join discord to talk

What do you mean by 2 types of SF-DB10 lasers ? Opening my PX712SA, I found a clean SF-DB10 without any further reference.
Re: Replacement lasers for Plextor drives
Don't have better picture on hand, but notice different pattern on connector and extra component near "SF-DB10"
