Re: One correction on the wiki
No one is forcing you to, is it?? It was my attempt to explain why OP's is asking it, not a request or even a suggestion to impose my will. It is a legal requirement in many EU countries and apparently there's also a legal imperative, two laws actually (1994 and 2013), but that's a conversation not ...

Re: One correction on the wiki
My guess is because most of these minimum effort localizations are just indeed a cover and manual swap, with the disc (contents and even pressing) being exactly the same from another region. This is mostly a legal demand that imposes a translated title, product description, instructions and ...

Plextor drives confirmed *NOT* compatible with DIC?
<t>Is there any list of this kind?<br/>
<br/>
Still struggling to get a compatible (listed) Plex drive. Have come to some old CD-Rom ones (e.g., PX-w1210xx (y. 2000): PX-W2410 (y. 2002) but have no clue if these would fit. I'm only interested in CD-Rom based media, mostly PC and a couple of ...

Re: How to check a PSX game version?
<t>Ok, guys. Thanks for clearing that out.<br/>
In fact, I thought that it could be that way but then I realized that version numbers were always subject to change if an older EXE version popped up, becaming the v1.0 and incrementing the other known versions.<br/>

How to check a PSX game version?
<t>This is a rather embarrassing question, since I presume it's solution is right in front of my nose but... I have searched the forums & wiki and haven't found the answer.<br/>
<br/>
So, how can I check which version a given game is, from the original disc or dump? For PS2 games, SYSTEM.CNF has a ...

Re: [PS2] Dumping guide
<r>True. I had a harsh time figuring things out. I started from 0 and my most difficulty was to gather all the technical info and jargon, which is scattered throughout the guide and forum threads. It just needs to be recompiled in one place. I know there used to be a wiki at times but IMO a friendly ...

Netherlands flags in New Disc menu
<r>I've noticed the Netherlands flag ico (region section) and the Dutch flag ico (language selection), in the New Disc menu and all over the database dumps mismatch.<br/>

Re: Help dumping unlicensed PS2 discs
<t>I always thought that those discs were impossible to properly burn/copy because they're pressed (at the factory, just like some content on a regular ps2 dvd, which isn't readable -- i might be saying a lot of shit, all i know is what've read here and there).<br/>
